Austrian crystal has long been regarded as one of the world's premier exemplars of fine crystal, noted especially for its purity and brilliance and its splendid refractive qualities. 

This reputation is due to the achievements of Swarovski, a family-owned company located in the Tyrolean mountain-rimmed town of Wattens. Swarovski lead crystal has been in business for over 100 years and is a fine collectable.  Each year a unique piece is produced exclusively for the Swarovski Crystal Society.
